[SOLVED] Suspend/Lock screen stopped working after upgrade to v20.2

Post by ajgringo619 »

Just noticed this today. Whenever I suspend the computer (via the XFCE buttons or using systemctl suspend) or I try to lock the computer (usually via CTRL-ALT-L), the screen does not lock. I tried installing a screensaver, which helped with normal locking, but it still doesn't work when suspending.

Should have investigated this more...

I had added myself to the nopasswdlogin in response to this message that suddenly popped up:

Code: Select all

Jul 08 13:49:29 dss-mint lightdm[1399]: pam_succeed_if(lightdm:auth): requirement "user ingroup nopasswdlogin" not met by user "ajgringo619"
Well...I fixed the message, but it disabled the need for a password to login back in after lock/suspend.
