Position window to occupy 1/3 of the screen

Post by ukn »

Hi!

Any suggestions how best to position an active window to occupy 1/3 of the screen?

Couldn't find any working solution so came up with this https://gist.github.com/ukn/329c2f4542e ... eef0442ee8
It works quite well as a keyboard shortcut.

It's pretty useful when using an ultra wide monitor.

So you confirmed this makes a window take up one third of the screen as far as all of the vertical distance and only one third of the horizontal?

If so, that's pretty cool. I'd personally be interested in making this work to make it take up only 1/4th ( as in I always have 3 or 4 file manager windows auto snapped to each corner of my 27" 1440p screen equally ..nemobashscript is my friend :D )
