Any News for XFCE version Linux Mint 8 x64 ? ? ?

Post by bobcollard »

I know Boo is working off what he is sitting on, but, for all the hype of KDE, I'm just curious. Right now I'm running both Xubuntu 9.10 and Linux Mint 8 with XFCE Desktop, I wonder if there will be a pure XFCE version in x86_64 Helena?

I cannot make a 64bit version as I don't have the computer to do so or the money to build one.

Thanks for the updates, I didn't find them when going to Xfce search. What I'm using is fine, works fast and the additions of Mint menu add flavor. The reason I asked is that Xubuntu 9.10 is even faster than Mint 8 with Xfce desktop. I have both on my computer right now for comparison. They are both x86_64. I'm running the same basic programs for comparison's sake and there is a pronounced increase in performance both starting programs and copying in Xubuntu.
