Firefox creators Mozilla attack Congress; denounce CISPA

Post by ASmith »

The Mozilla Firefox development team have found themselves in a Ethical and Moral dilemma as forces backing Internet Censorship, Domestic Spying and the outright banning of various forms of file sharing descend upon Firefox browser users to seemingly ensnare, entrap, censor, spy and in some cases ban Internet Users routine activity's.

What the Mozilla Firefox staff and developers realise is the very tool they have been carefully developing for over a decade is now being used by cough questionable agency's to collect users data, to entrap, harass, spy on and possibly even imprison those that use their product on the Internet. And YES, the same could be said of Internet Browsers in general now (Internet Explorer, Chrome, Opera, Firefox etc.)

Long gone are the days when it took a court warrant for such seemingly goose stepping actions, long gone is the mere implication required of wrong doing. Yes, it appears YOU and your loved ones are ALL Western Government Suspects NOW, The only question is what are you going to do about it?

Such is the direct ethical and moral dilemma for the Mozilla Firefox developers and staff who never intended their browser to be directly used to entrap and spy on it's users Internet activitys and extend that to also include their GPS and Interior Positioning Data (IPS) as well as their facial biometrics all of which is stored by the NSA, UK, European data-servers along with scores of foreign nations intelligence agencys data banks. [1]
"While we (Mozilla Firefox) wholeheartedly support a more secure Internet, CISPA has a broad and alarming reach that goes far beyond Internet security," the tech company (Mozilla) wrote to Forbes reporter Andy Greenberg. "The bill infringes on our privacy, includes vague definitions of cybersecurity, and grants immunities to companies and government that are too broad around information misuse." [2]
It seems the East German Stashi would be Green with Envy over the overt and covert invasions now of US citizens privacy's, liberty's, and lack of freedoms.

Relevant Background:

Given the rapid advances in biometrics and facial recognition software, US photos containing faces collected from social media and photo sharing websites are fed to those algorithms and the resulting biometrics are then stored on NSA server farms with some being piggy backed to various nations intelligence servers globally. The result being that individual if need be can be located and tracked via millions of CCTV feeds thereafter.

It is entirely likely alert cable and dish satellite network viewers of the upcoming UK Olympic Summer Games this June will see folks with hand-held facial scanners panning the crowds and visitors adding hundreds of new faces per minute.

For many decades the times of the Olympic Games were a time of peace where various nations had the morality, ethics and a soul which directed them to not invade nor attack a nation during the Olympic Games. If the readers remember however US/Israeli military advisers in Georgia torched off the horrific artillery bombardment of South Ossettia DURING the Chinese Beijing Olympic Summer Games destroying the long held ethical standard of forbidding such aggression during the Olympic Games. Given today's as bad or worse aggressive war atmosphere, perhaps the same will occur this coming June's UK Olympic Summer Games.

US/UK are implementing IPS (Interior Positioning Systems) now to track YOU inside malls, homes, city centers etc.

All attempts by investigative reporters to glean the full collection of ACTA texts and drafts have been denied by US President Obama's staff under the faux guise of 'National Security'.

America's first black President signed the NDAA bill into law utterly destroying the US Constitutional Bill of Rights. Then the democracy stripping EEA bill was quickly signed by President Obama allowing for the removal of all elected US Officials replacing them with President Obama's cabinet members.

The three neo-con War Toads, US Senators Joe Lieberman, John McCain and Lindsay Graham appear to be pushing the kill US Citizens access to the Internet if the US Gov. decided to do so. (the infamous martial law Internet Kill Switch)

While at the same time, President Obama is pushing for sanctions on nations blocking the Internet and communications during a CIA led revolution in their own foreign nations, the US DOT (Dept. of Transportation) has already deployed cell phone jammers during US Occupy Wall Street Protests. The CIA are now working actively with the NYPD and are routinely seizing cell phones, laptops and digital devices in US protests and downloading history, contacts, data.

Personal Conclusion:
The cough evil agencys and individuals behind CISPA,SOPA,ACTA Internet Censorship,Information Banning, File Blocking legislation like the heads of a evil hydra serpent will simply sprout two more heads of similar clones of the same legislation until they succeed in passing them on all Western nations people. I do not personally feel US President Obama will in fact sign the CISPA bill into law, instead he'll use his Presidential Veto Power instead. He'll do so in my opinion only because his poll numbers are a meager 47% approval, it's an election year and even against a non-competitive opponent (Willard 'Mitt' Romney), Obama is simply ahead and cannot afford to lose any of his base which he certainly would if he signed CISPA into law after his destroyed the US Bill of Rights by signing the NDAA bill into law previously. However, after the November 2012 Presidential election, many including myself expect this depraved Internet Censorship and Domestic Spying bill to be passed and signed into law by Obama regardless if it's CISPA or CISPA-2 or ACTA-3 etc.
