Greeting! I'm about to try out linux mint (just backing up my files now). I'm coming from ubuntu. I've heard a lot of good things so I want to try it out. Wish me luck!

The installation has been successful and I am writing to you from linux mint!! I appreciate the advice and welcomes. I should probably be asking this question in the newbie bit, but which version of opera (browser) should I install? I'm guessin it'd be the ubuntu Gutsy gibbon, right? Ive got to say, you guys have done fantastic job here, I'm really impressed with this distro. It look like mint will have a permanent home on my PC now!

You can get the latest version of opera using mint's software portal.
It's very well explained in the guide :wink:

I'm glad you are pleased with Linux Mint.
