CompTIA A+

Post by excollier »

I just started studying for this, and now I have to use Windows every day again :(
I only have Vista too :( :(

"Updates----you will need to restart your computer"
"You need to update your anti-virus definitions"
Now I see clearly...I had forgotten how difficult it could be.

Anyway, is it difficult? I know it could be a problem getting the hands on experience needed.

before I passed the 700 series,
I had the flash version of the of test questions running from the windows partition,
via a shortcut to the Mint desktop :)

but the 800 series is not flash based, has a real installer, & won't run under Mint,
even via a shortcut :( :(

- should have done it a few years ago, though, when the pass was for life,
whereas now, it's only for three years, & only then with a current CE status.

- there is quite a difference between the two series, as well
- android, tablets & the like, weren't mentioned in the 700 series.

Yeah, pity about the three year thing, but that's life. I never had much interest in computers until last summer, when I tried Linux for the first time, I have been a manual worker for 35 years, but now it's time for a change.
Pity also that it's all Windows, but it will teach me some useful stuff, no doubt.
