I am new here so I thought I would introduce myself, I have used ubuntu for over a year and now I am considering switching to Linux mint, not just for the codecs working out-of-the-box but for the other features I have heard about, I have already burned the Linux mint 6 rc1 ISO and I have tried it as a live CD, and I have to say that I am impressed so far, much more polished and user friendly than ubuntu. My favorite feature so far is the start menu and the ability to uninstall software via right click in the start menu.

Well thats all I have to say, I look forward to a great Linux experiance and chatting with ya'll on the boards.

Welcome Wildman4god,
Mint 6 RC1 is really great. I have already installed it on my test disk. So far, there are no major problems.

Welcome and have fun :)

Be kind, for everyone you meet is fighting a hard battle.
