Python Libraries?

Post by Octavian » Thu Oct 29, 2015 5:26 pm

I am learning Python at the moment and plan on learning C because I want to build my own Python libraries and possibly even an operating system in C code. All in due time one should say. Have any of you made your own Python Libraries and successfully imported them into a Python program you wrote? Perhaps I should ask whether this is even possible but then again anything is possible when your just getting started. :p

Due to my Job I am only able to get on Thursday through Saturday. On occasion I will be on other days.

This isn't really about Linux Mint, so moved this from support to chat. I suggest you would find better help on a programmer's forum or indeed with a Google search for a tutorial. For library functionality Python gives you the option to write modules and packages. Official documentation introduces how to use both: https://docs.python.org/3.5/tutorial/modules.html. Packages can be hosted on PyPI (https://pypi.python.org/pypi) and you would install them with pip.
