can't download games because of very bad connection

Hi.First of all excuse me for my bad English.I have plenty of free time.So i decided to do some gaming though i am not a gamer by any mean.but i do not have any thing to do expect learning Java programming.The problem is how can i get the games? because i have very bad Internet connection the download speed around 70KiB/s and as you know the games size is very big. this is my problem any advice :(

Ask your ISP to improve your connection. Isn't it an advice?
Windows assumes I'm stupid but Linux demands proof of it

You could order the games' installation DVDs (if they exist), I suppose.
Besides that, BigEasy is correct. Only your ISP can increase your internet speed, unless--UNLESS--you mean that Mint is slow for downloads, but another OS (Windows, OS X) on the same connection is fast, in which case you should start a support request here on the forums.

You could also leave the download running all night...

Well, maybe you could ask a friend with a faster internet connection if you can download the games unto a usb stick at his place?
Or perhaps there is a possibility to download your games in a university or internet café?
