Will it take a while before you can get an accurate guage as it was only installed yesterday

Re: speedtest
The command line for my system returned this:
14.4 download
8.75 upload
Speedtest.net returned:
27.8 download
11.8 upload
Not sure which one to believe. Split the difference, I guess. I am on a 5Ghz wireless but I'm downstairs and way far away from the upstairs router. Any upstairs wifi connections are very fast.

Re: speedtest
Stepson and I use Speedtest.net in PC, iPhone and iPad. Readings quite consistent.
Charter Internet is in our city.
Around 57Mbps download and 6Mbps upload. Plenty fast.
Interesting to see readings at hot spots. Couple times I mentioned to a business about slow speeds and they found out a router issue.

Re: speedtest
What is interesting is in small print, compare on Speedtest.
Saw about 47 on Fast and 56 on Speedtest.

Re: speedtest
Maybe Fast.com is not such a great idea as it was designed by Netflix for people to check to see if their ISP is slowing down Netflix traffic.

Re: speedtest
The distance with the server used for the test may dramatically impact the result.
If it ain't broke, fix it until it is.

Lately I've been using this: http://testmy.net/

Re: speedtest
I've used https://www.speakeasy.net/speedtest/ and have had very accurate results to what I have been promised by my ISP.
Re: speedtest
I thought this speedtest could be increased or not?
