It's not quite Ludicrous Mode for the skies, but we're getting there.

Don't panic! After that it will be fastest-descending electric-powered airplane ever.

What's the difference between running out of battery and running out of gaz exactly?

It is hard to say what difference but there is one good common thing: in both cases they do not produce emission during their gliding from sky to terrain.

At least running out of gas reduces over all weight which may help glide ratio... wtih dead batteries, you still gotta carry the batteries...killer de bug wrote:What's the difference between running out of battery and running out of gaz exactly?

Gliding distance is not depend on weigtht of given aircraft! Looks like paradox but true.

Actually, I think getting a low-battery light while performing brain- or open heart surgery would be pretty freaking scary.

Yeah, I did. That was a really cool demonstration of a single-person aircraft running off of nothing more than a battery. Annnnnnnd... your point is?killer de bug wrote:Have you read the link in the first post?

My point is that this topic is about an electrical aircraft and not about the places where you fear to see a low battery light.Portreve wrote:Yeah, I did. That was a really cool demonstration of a single-person aircraft running off of nothing more than a battery. Annnnnnnd... your point is?
