This is incorrect, it should be 'Nvidia Settings > X Server Display Configuration > Save to X Configuration File'.
Sorry about that!

yeah there's the difference. My Ryzen 1700x is probably spitting out twice the ppd. Otherwise, GTX 970 is GtX 970.

Just an FYI:

The next nvidia card series will be based on the maxwell archetecture like the 900 series. Using the newer 14nm process, this should make the cards 3x as powerful as the 900 series. The 900 series is a 45nm structure. so 1/3 the size of the transistors means they will be able to pack 3x the cuda cores for the same power draw versus 900 series. so from just core count alone the 970 goes from 270k x3=810k as a "1170". A higher base clock and more shaders will push it to 1 mil more than likely. Its a basic guesstamate. I believe it should be fairly accurate.

Heh... absolutely. Will be a standard expensive as crap card when it launches. This is not unusual. I predict 5-600 usd on launch day. Nvidia loves milking the gamers who think they NEED to have the biggest newest card. this would not be too out of line for the prices they had of the 10 series launch.

Hello

My GPU is a 980, that runs nearly 24/7. Was in the Nergasm team, but decided to give Mint a boost up the ranks.

We have? How did you come to that conclusion with our team rank at 346?

Edit: NM I see you can filter EOC by 24hr avg.

Seriously tempted to get a second user gtx970, seen a few for £120. In the region of 250k - 300k PPD on top of the 125k - 150k PPD that my gtx950 crunches.

No doubt Greerd!
Tinca busted into the GPU arena with a 1070 at the end of march. May will be his first full month.
I upgraded to a gtx1060 and may is the first near full month with it.
900i picked up a gpu this month
Lazydev just joined us so his first whole month wont be until june.
We will lose raider for the Air conditioning months. Maybe we can sweet talk him into leaving the ryzen on :D Its not much of a heater.

@900i

For the power consumption of both cards. try and spend a little extra for a used 1070. Just make sure whoever you get it from has it installed to make sure it works. 220w for both cards versus 150w for the 1070 alone. this is assuming you can find a gamer selling and get them below the 300 mark. I know when the 11 series is launched you should be able to get a 1070 all day long for 250 or less, by sheer volume of gamers who think the NEED new cards.

Ok so going over the team summary on EOC:

Last week we almost doubled the points made on 10/16 for the month. This week we probably will numerically double it. 10/16 back then was pretty much team greerd.
Last week we beat the month of 1/17 by almost 1 million points. 1/17 was pretty much team greerd/powerwagon

We have grown so much so fast, it is absolutely amazing.

Indeed, I see we broke 2.5Mppd yesterday, things are definitely looking up!

I was talking with KirbySmith who just built himself a beast with a Ryzen 1800x and GTX1080ti. From what I read the 1080ti should produce 1.3Mppd by itself. I mentioned the team and invited him to come on over and give his card a little exercise, he might, hope he does.

Happy Folding
