The Lightning theme, as it allows the menu bar to be made transparent.

Hi Husse,
Well, the beach is 2 miles from me, but too lazy to drag myself down there!

I've been fooling around with Ubuntu Jaunty and it is really fast. Looking forward to Mint 7, I'll bet it will be snappy also. :)

Noooooo!!!
BTW, the Shiki Mint theme in Gloria surely is good, but I think that Dusty Mint is better; the title bar is more compact, leaving more screen space. And the green line on the top of it is more elegant than the one you can put in Shiki. Overall, Dusty looks more refined 8)

..... What month is it?

I change my themes (entire desktop, really) at least once per month ;) Never gets old....

I use Gotchione--I like the three-dimensional black panel, and have a black-background photo of my Mini Cooper. I also prefer the LinuxMint icons over ShikiMint. "My" Mint.

I use the default for both the Main Edition and the KDE CE. Like Husse, I don't have time to try out other themes. :D

Mint 7 x64

Theme is "Clearlooks"
Menu is default Gnome.
I like a clean desktop. No icons.
I'm using the transparent taskbar.

The basic theme is Aurora-Midnight as a base and then switch some stuff around.

I like a high contrast desktop so I went with a manual colour selection using gnome colour chooser for the theme. Colours are mostly Blue and Gray with various shades of yellow and green as highlights.

Desktop and screen saver images come from a collection of motorcycle and family pictures . I usually use drapes to rotate the images but that app is a little buggy under M7.

Fonts used are mostly Sans Bold that get resized up a little over the stock install size.

I use Compiz to switch between work spaces and to add a little bit of transparency effects to the desktop

Windows border are Aging-Gorilla

Icons used are the Gion ones

I must admit that my desktop looks a bit like a crayon train wreck but I like it. :D

However doing it in public is really hardcore.

I use Shiki-Mint, the default theme for Linux Mint 7 "Gloria." :) I've got it slightly customised, though - e.g. the overall font type is Verdana, size 8 in monochrome. And for a little while, I used one of the Linux Mint backgrounds (a black one, I don't know what it's called) - but now I have this as a wallpaper. :)
