For my HP RF station do I really need this accuracy?

It is not a server, which may have to have strict time control, depending on its usage.
I feel the workstation doesnt need it.

Some of the ham radio digital modes require accurate time, but I think syncing with ntp is probably close enough.

This is for HP test equipment, generators, counters, modulation monitor, etc. I started looking into this when one of my crystal oven time-bases went south.
Since all these instruments have provision for external time-base inputs I was thinking one stand alone time-base would be the cat's meow--
especially considering the stability and accuracy improvement (<5x10^-12).
