A lot of hardware design for switches and routers is outsouced. I have read that some Cisco hardware designed for switches and routers is outsouced to Foxconn a Chinese company. I would imagine (read hope) the design is reviewed, tested and approved by Cisco - but hidden backdoors . . . . . ? ? ? ? How about other hardware manufacturers of computer and network infrastructure ?
