Using Mint as primary OS since 2006.
Re: Our favorite music
I like a variety of music, but mostly 80s metal. And by 80s metal I mean what most people today would call "hair metal," a term I hate. The usual suspects are/were: Def Leppard, Motley Crue, Ratt, Night Ranger, Scorpions (I know, they predate 80s metal). I also like 70s rock (Led Zeppelin), 70s/80s pop and 70s-90s country. And Neil Diamond also (there, I said it ).

Black Label Society - Stillborn (with Ozzie singing background vocals) would be my first choice.
I have been a Zakk Wylde fan since the Pride and Glory album. I wore that CD out, and had to buy a new one recently...
I keep checking his tour dates to see if he is going to make it to Austin. I saw him live in San Antonio once, and he lit that place up ! This video was taken by someone sitting very close to where I was sitting there.

Re: Our favorite music
I like rock bands that never existed, like Andromeda from Buck Rogers in the 25th Century:
This is a deliberately slowed-down version of the episode Space Rockers to try and slip by YouTube's content censors, but it gives you an idea of what they sounded like. Just imagine that it is somewhat faster than this, in actuality: Space Rockers
(And yes, that's Jerry Orbach of Law and Order fame who's name you're seeing in the opening credits.)
Actually, in all seriousness, I like music by individuals and bands who are actually legitimate song writers and musicians and who do not rely on "studio creation"-type cheats to produce stuff. Favorites? Let's see...
• Led Zeppelin
• Pink Floyd
• Pat McCune
• The Beegees
• Sam Pacetti
• Trombone Shorty
• Bon Jovi
• Marie Nofsinger
• Jennifer Kimball
• Def Leppard
• Joe Bonamassa
• Louis Armstrong
I like a lot of others, but those are real notable examples.
These days, it's really, really hard for me to find decent original musicians outside of the Jazz scene.
I like some RnB, most Classical, a little 60s rock, some 70s rock and little bit of disco, lots and lots of 80s rock, a little bit of 90s rock, and most importantly...
Rap is NOT music.

Klaus Schulze (born 4 August 1947) is a German electronic music composer and musician. He also used the alias Richard Wahnfried. He was briefly a member of the electronic bands Tangerine Dream and Ash Ra Tempel before launching a solo career consisting of more than 60 albums released across five decades.(source: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Klaus_Schulze)
