Who are you?

Post by Pat D » Fri Feb 16, 2018 12:18 am

Someimes I wonder who you all are.
I mean, everybody here is into Linux, and further than that, they're into Linux Mint.
Where does this come from? What is that some of us need to be in charge of stuff? Further speculation not only expected, but demanded here. Purposefully vague.

I like to avoid hassle where I can. 'Friends' get nasty, play the 'get as many drinks out of everyone and never open my wallet', manipulate etc, I dump them. I now have a decent size group of really solid friends who are 100% trust worthy and 100% fun to hang with. My car was bought with economy and reliability in mind - low hassle.

I just want a low hassle OS that doesn't fight, spy or need its behind wiping too often. Mint fits the bill.

But to answer the original question ( and staying with the song idea ) :-

" I'm the urban spaceman baby , here comes the twist ,
I .... don't exist "
" And so it goes " - Kurt Vonnegut
The modern reality and the satirical parody are rapidly converging .

I am a the solicitor for a Nigerian prince who has left you a large inheritance. Please send me money via Western Union transfer as it is the only secure enough method of money transfer along with your credit card details including security code and I will facilitate the transfer of his fortune to your account.

No, no, no, that's my job! all41 can vouch for that.
And, since the prince I represent is also my brother, he will be most unhappy with you when I report your activities. I would lay low for a while, if I were you. Maybe a nice long vacation in the farthest corner of northern Siberia? :D
