I'd prefer to remain on Winter Time (whichever one it is that you "Fall back") and I really don't like the other one.
That would be called "Standard Time." And I agree with that. Stay on Standard Time.

My atomic clock changed the evening before, somewhere around 5 or 6 pm. Maybe that was when UT hit 2 am? Weird.

I have two auto-setting radio alarm clocks (which I never use as alarm clocks), a wall-hanging atomic clock, a Timex atomic wrist watch (which I love but never wear any more), my Moto G7 (which I use as my alarm clock), and a Samsung Galaxy Active2 watch, so that leaves me with one wall clock in the bathroom, the clock in my car, and the clocks on my kitchen appliances to set manually.

I just really hate DST (I had to look that up because I can never remember what the two different standards are called) because I like longer nights and later mornings.

persona preference: abolish DST
to me it serves no purpose at all...
I lived in Arizona for a bit more that a year (Az. is the one US Stare that never had DST) and it was simple, it just worked...
Actually, AZ did have it one summer around sixty years ago. The State Legislature forgot to pass a law exempting AZ from going onto DST. That was not a popular oversight.

Really? are you saying Federal default was to go DST and Az neglected to opt out?
I had no idea. My cohorts in Az were quite proud of never adopting DST.

It was back in 1967 when AZ delayed to opt out of DST. It was claimed that it was a deliberate attempt intended to save energy (it had the exact opposite effect) but that was just the excuse given to cover up their negligence. BTW, the Navajo Nation up in the northeast corner of the AZ does observe DST and Hawaii also opts out of DST (being so close to the equator, DST is especially pointless for Hawaii).

In "Back to the Future", all of the clocks in Doc's house are 25 minutes slow except for one, which can be seen when Marty enters
imagine the hell Doc Brown goes through every year, huh. That's enough to drive anyone mad

I'm heartened by the knowledge that I'm not the only one who dislikes DST. Maybe, just maybe, we should start an international movement to do away with that, instead of the other way around. 8)

I personally feel DST is a farce.
there is a movement to cancel it, and make the 'standard' time the same as DST thru the year long.
that is, the same as our summer months.

Arizona killed DST while I lived there, greatest thing that ever happened.
I could go to work in the cool of the morning on my motorcycle and enjoy the ride.
Come 3 PM though, I suited up in my ATGATT and walked into the shower room, and soaked my clothes to the skin and rode home.

the outside temps thru July and Sept were normally 115*F and late August would see 122*F at the airport, at which point, the Airlines were shut down and not allow to take off. Landings were permitted, but no take offs.

ATGATT = All The Gear All The Time
Helmet, Padded mesh jacket, padded mesh pants, lace up boots, and gloves.

all that is actually cooler to wear in 120* heat than to ride in jeans and a T-shirt.
the sun literally bakes your skin before you can get home, even on a 25 minute ride to the house.

I've spent most of my life in a very warm climate. If I were to move, the desert would not be on my list of potential future residences. Somewhere like Washington State, for example, might be.

After living most of my life in a desert, the humidity and rain in Washington State would kill me! Seriously! I went to college in west TX. I complained about the humidity and the kids from the east coast complained about how dry it was.

The stupid summer time induces frustrated cows at 3.5 a.m. and a few accidents in the fog.
Insignificant.
It is still annoying.

I grew up on a farm, and hand milked the cows at 0700 UTC -5
Those cows know within 5 minutes of when they should be milked, and it has nothing to do with DST at all :D

very true.

We had a cow when I was a kid, they got rid of it before I was 10 years old.
It was a real BFD when DST changed.
Someone had to milk, either my Dad or one of us kids.

Invariably someone was late to work, late to school, Or had to get up an hour too damned early for nothing.

The Farmers in my neighbourhood (they all were) all had to work off ranch also... DST was widely Hated by 95% of them.
