I've been on a big Midnight Oil kick the last few weeks, part of revisiting my (not so misspent, in retrospect) youth. Almost everything they do is good but "Dreamworld" is really connecting with me now because I feel my current fairly idyllic home is being threatened by increased logging, climate change resulting in more storm events and the difficult finances of many small rural towns in the USA.

Really like "Beds are Burning" and "King of the Mountain" too.

I like a variety of different music:
This one for the people who like listening to the young talent. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WpVQHUaChbI

This is a newer band who's lead singer has Zepplin squeal and sound down. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=42rmUlDiQDI

I'm surprised a true seventies crew left out this band. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=P9uvpr_gm64

This a group of people in New York that just start singing with hidden camera's. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WnY59mDJ1gg

If your a Star Wars fan they did a hidden camera spoof: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=J5gCeWEGiQI

X-Ray Spex - Live at The Roxy
X-Ray Spex - Obsessed With You - The Early Years
The Damned - Peel Sessions, 1976-79

Not everybody's cup of tea but I've been listening to Punk now since the late 70's (not non-stop, obviously...)

Anyone else here into similar?

Cheers, DM.

By far my favourite singer is Angelina Jordan, a young Norwegian born singer who won Norway's Got Telent at the age of 8.

She was 9 years old when she recorded this. It has 5.8 million views. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nwFloCPXzCs
She is now 13 years old (will be 14 on 10 January) and has recently recorded this cover of Adele's song "You'll never find" https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JroOfmJEumU and to date has 28 thousand views.

I must admit, she has an impressive voice with serious potential. While she does jump around, what do you expect from a 13 year old? She appears to have the capacity to be something special as she matures.
