Yahoo Web Site

Post by Pierre »

This is mostly about an issue for those who are not a resident of the CONUS area.

NB: this is on Firefox,, as both Chrome & Chromium, do seem A.ok
& it seems that I'm not alone in having an issue with watching Video on any Yahoo web site.
and you have proven that you can indeed watch Videos on any other Web Site.
and it also not specific to Linux either.

That you have:
- Turned your AdBlocker OFF
- the Latest version of libflashplayer.so
in LinuxMint - - you may find this in /user/lib/adobe-flashplugin

sometimes,, you may be able to watch a Video that actually an Advertisement.
- but, generally you can't watch any Video at all - - on any Yahoo Web Site.

you may have been asked by Yahoo to Turn Off your AdBlock in your Yahoo eMail area.
- but, this doesn't seem to be relevant to this issue.

it does also seem that this issue, has been around for many years, now,
and there is numerous articles on this issue & there doesn't seem to any known Fix for this issue.

it may also be tied in with that there is often an short Advertisement, at the start of the Video itself.

Yahoo will rot your brain.

- but, this doesn't seem to be relevant to this issue.

it's also surprising just how many do watch those Yahoo Web Site(s,
& which was why I've gotten involved, in this issue.
and the Fact that Yahoo is now involved with Verizon doesn't seem to be part of the issue, either.
