I had to look it up. We don't get SNL here in this part of the world.

A cow and a chicken. So there should be a McDonald's and a Chick-fil-A in the background.

I agree about McDonalds. You can't go anywhere where there isn't one...

There is a rather entertaining Monty Python movie called "Wholly Moses" starring Dudley Moore. It's a parady/spoof of the Moses story.
In one of the scenes there is --yes, the golden arches sticking up in the middle of the bce desert--classic Python humour

they are now building one in the village, that's just down the road:
- already has a HJs & KF that have been there for years.
some one apparently did start a partition, to stop it, but council approved it anyway.

I go to Indonesia twice a year (going again in July) and there's nothing quite like sitting on a beautiful palm tree dotted beach, eating a native lunch, and a huge McDonald's piercing the sky above the tree line.

so, in a few more years, you won't be able to get a native lunch,
- as they will be eating a huge McDonald's . . .

You're really not missing anything. Most of the stuff, rather than being funny, is just plain stupid. Like that "more cowbell" skit.

And here I was getting all excited about a discovery of life on Mars, and all they find is the golden arches. Another place to avoid.
