I call my Grand-daughter's pet rabbit "Stew" which, for some reason she does not seem to appreciate. Don't know why? :roll:

So, "I give you my daughter with poison!" more or less. :mrgreen:
Interesting stuff .... thanks ! :)

..... I'm pretty ignorant about the German language .
I think you know what a Faust is, though! :wink:

Of course , we know nothing about the character of the daughter ..... it may be literally true in certain cases !
:mrgreen:
My first wife was like that.

[H]ave you ever read, "Johnny Tremain"...a childhood favourite of my own?...it is set in pre-revolutionary and then revolutionary 13 colonies emerging into the United States...the novel's themes include apprenticeship, courtship, sacrifice, human rights, and the growing tension between Patriots and Loyalists as conflict nears. Events described in the novel include the Boston Tea Party, the British blockade of the Port of Boston, the midnight ride of Paul Revere, and the Battles of Lexington and Concord...a very good read...
I'll keep it in mind as something to check out one of these days. Thanks for the idea.

Glad you enjoyed the cartoon!

Cheers,

@dman,
I have enjoyed this thread, and I have learned many new words.
You are truly a writer, and a gentlemen, of sorts :wink:
Thanks very much! I'll be here all night. :)

No, but I'm glad when I can brighten somebody's day. That's one of the reasons I like to teach.
