I had the same thought, he had all the money necessary to pay for the best possible technology to win that fight a 2nd time,
Doc says on Oct 6, we will win this again:

Diabetes works much the same, you can fight it for a while, but it always wins.....
almost to the same dates: My Wife: was diagnosed in 2009 and passed Jan 2017
he did a lot of good in this world, I will give him that.... and pray for his family and friends
