Free Games
Was liked to this site elsewhere, If you are a fan of some of the old DOS games, you might be interested in some of these. <deleted> The top one on the list (XCOM - terror from the deep) was the only game that I actually ever completed. I am not a gamer, but it might be of interest to some.

Re: Free Games
Best not to confuse "free" with abandonware....

As per our forum rules on illegal material removed the links shared in this topic. Please help keep our forum free from links to illegal material.
You can obtain old DOS games legally (for free or small price) through various websites. A few that I know:
https://www.gog.com/
https://3drealms.com/catalog/
https://www.scummvm.org/games/
For games on GOG you may need InnoExtract (https://constexpr.org/innoextract/) if a DOS game only comes with a Windows installer from them. Such Windows installers come pre-packaged with DOSBox and by extracting the files in the installer you can get the game's files and use DOSBox for Linux (installed on your system) instead to run the game. Some games extracted that way can instead also be played in ScummVM (https://www.scummvm.org/compatibility/).
Free/libre Linux games can be found on:
