I wouldn't take that to any airport if I were you.
I never have been comfortable with the idea of running water cooling in or near any electrical components, but a lot do.

it looks like a high frequency RF power amplifier assembly...DAMIEN
ps...possibly used with ham radio equipment, something akin to what might have been referred to as a commercial modulator AKA a "linear"?

Automatic gain control? Amplifier detector? RF in/out? I searched the bits I could read which makes this sound like something for AM radio or radar. I'm with MrEen though: it mostly looks like a prototype Flux Capacitor
