BMW introduces new "Flying" feature in Slovakian model line-up

Post by Portreve »

I'm wondering if they're using Tesla's auto-pilot software...

Can you believe or not, but there was no software. Just sleeping human driver. As usual last 120 years.

I should write to BMW and tell them I like their innovative "flying car" feature and am wondering if they're looking for test pilots as they seek to mature the technology.

I'm not the test pilot but have to say 1 thing: without Slovakian tunnel construction workers BMW can't fly.

I just sent the following inquiry to BMW about their new flying car feature:

Here in the states, our tunnels have solid square entrances....

you veer off the lanes and you hit a solid wall and stop, dead.

It is exactly the BMW's trampoline. Tunnel entrance for those who learn to fly.

And here I am thinking who would be stupid enough to build a low tunnel at the end of a runway! If that tunnel were a bit bigger, he would have been flying with no problems. He should sue the tunnel builders for not taking flying cars into account! :D

Indeed!

Actually, if he had been about a meter or meter and a half left of his entry path, he would have probably set it down on all four wheels. It would have been like something out of a Hollywood movie.

This is everyday practice in computer games. The driver just confused the car window with Windows.
