The wrong side? There's a reason why the right side of the road is called the right side.

You do understand the serious risks you are exposing yourself to? Next time you are riding down the road on horseback and are approached by a villain and you draw your sword to defend yourself you will be at a significant disadvantage. There are reasons for these things, it's been the law here since 1773. :D

I'll try to remember that the next time I'm riding down the road on horseback and I'm approached by a villain and draw my sword to defend myself. Then again, maybe I'll be proactive and learn to use my sword left handed. Now, where did I put that sword? Whoa, where's my horse?

“Muahahahaha!!!”

Pay particular note if the villain in question happens to be from off-world, dresses to the nines, has a goatee, and speaks with what seems like a British accent. To wit:

Old and clumsy as I am, I would probably do that anyway.

It's 6:34AM right now in the Phoenix, AZ area and the temperature is 81° (extremely mild for our neck of the desert--it "rained" yesterday and overnight--normally it's over 90° at this time of day) and the humidity is 56%. For us, that is a swamp. I so do NOT miss the humidity in Texas, even up in Abilene.

As General Sheridan said in 1866, 'If I owned Texas and all Hell, I would rent out Texas and live in Hell.'
In theory, theory and practice are the same. In practice, they ain't.

here in Oklahoma, it is not very pleasant either.

I put in 20 years in Phoenix, AZ working for the Fire Department there, as an IT specialist....
my motorcycle and I made a 18 miles trip twice a day, every working day, for most of those years.

I well remember riding home at 121*F, put on all of my riding gear, ballistic jacket, ballistic touring pants, boots, walking into the shower room and getting soaking wet.

get on the bike, and riding Loop 202 west from 7th street to Mesa, takes about 25 minutes.
Arrive home, dry as that popcorn phart..... strip down, hit the shower, and sit in front of the A/C until I cooled off.

I got retired on the last day I rode my bike home, there was a diversion planned for me..........

Enjoying some rain. I know for most that is not something you think about, but here... It is nice, except for the mosquitos. Things are actually green, my grass is actually growing, it is pretty nice. I have been on call since last Wednesday, and it has been rough, so I am looking forward to tomorrow morning when I get off call, and then Thursday when I took a day off. I plan on getting up, drinking a nice cup of Prince of Wales tea, and watching the rain (or morning sunshine), and just relaxing.

Made the command decision that NO computers in my house will go onto Windows 11 unless I am forced to do so. I might have to get the Spouse Unit a new laptop just to keep Windows 10 on it.

Oddly lots of rain here and I am NOT complaining. The only issue is the swarming mosquitos, some of which are large enough to require landing lights. My grass is starting to come back, which is nice.

Odd, that. When I lived in Abilene, TX back in the late '60s-early 70's, the mosquitoes were tiny. In NE Arkansas, however, those were the size of birds...buzzards.

Those skeeters are a pain but I'd rather deal with them over the noseeums. For those unfamiliar with the term they are indeed real. Sometimes called no-see-ums.

Those little buggers (pun intended) are even nastier than the little white flies we used to get in my neck of the desert (and the white flies were nasty enough). I remember them being so thick I had to wear a dust mask when working outside to keep from breathing them in.

I'll take your no-see-ums if you take full ownership of chiggers.

You win. Chiggers are the worst!

I did find any lotion or cream with menthol will dramatically reduce the itch.
