Google has really Ramped up their adverts

Post by AZgl1500 »

I use "The Weather Channel" a lot, and up until today, it is has been modest with the adverts.

Today, Google has ramped up their "in your face" blatant adverts based on your cookies nearly 1,000 percent more than before.

uBlock Origin used to keep that crap at bay, but not anymore, Google has changed the way the adverts are being delivered, and it has ruined my browsing experience.

I can't just turn off Cookies, or delete them after each session, that would make like horrendously hard.

I had never used that one but tried it and no issues. I also have FF with Ublock , cookie autodelite and decentralyze.
Maybe www.theweathernetwork.com will work better. This is what I am used to because it's on our tv's here so used to the format .

I should have mentioned I'm using FF also, just figured saying ' uBlock Origin " would imply that.

I will check out your options.

Installed that one plugin and it did a great job, restored my favorite Weather info site like it was before.

Hi AZgl1500

for decentraleyes in combination with uBlock Origin (and uMatrix) take a look at this site:

https://git.synz.io/Synzvato/decentrale ... -Questions

(For uMatrix and uBlock Origin (non-easy mode) users)

uBlock Origin should look like this under the "My rules" tab:

Glad to hear it worked. I knew you had FF since I was reading through the thread pertaining to peoples opinions about browsers and I noticed you also found FF to be your preference as I do. I don't know why I even mentioned that extension , I just thought the other website might work better as I have no issues with it. Anyway I bookmarked that site and am going to compare them to see which one I like better.

  • uBlock Origin
    NoTrace
    Decentraleyes
are what I am using now, and as this Full Screenshot of "The WeatherChannel" shows,
all is great now.
