By chance found on youtube String Quartet No.2 by Morton Feldman, played by FLUX Quartet at The Tanks, Tate Modern, London on December 4, 2016. It's fairly quick interpretation, it lasts only 5 hours 32 minutes and 33 seconds. My Mode 112 2002 release performance is lasting a total of 6 hours 7 minutes and 7 seconds and played by the same FLUX Quartet. The interpretation or the quartet requires incredible physical endurance and technical resourcefulness. I usually listen to it on a hi-tech audio but this unexpected trap happens to be on a laptop. Still this piece is unlike anything one can hear.

Just for laughs I wrote a script that recursed through a fairly large directory structure and created a huge M3U playlist. I imported it into Audacious and had a look to see what I had. I forgot just how much I enjoyed The Beach Boys, (Album: The Very Beat Of), It's been literally years since I listened any of their music.

Metal, really really loud metal. It has been one of those days. AC/DC, Sabaton, Scorpions, Van Halen, Guns and Roses, etc really, really loudly!

I had to go down to the computer repair shop where I volunteer at before the shop opens for the day. My next door neighbor owns the computer shop and I have a key and the alarm code to the shop. When I got there, my next door neighbor was already there working on a customer's gaming machine.

He was listening to music and one song I recognized was a Bruno Mars tune, "Grenade". I told him I have a music library on each of my five computers (2 desktop towers, 3 laptops) I own at my home. I told him there is a metal cover version of this song which, in my opinion, is a better rendition of it. It also includes the lyrics. So I got on one of the shop's computers, went to YouTube and found it.

Within Temptation - "Grenade" (Bruno Mars cover).

The only thing I normally crank the sound on is Stairway to Heaven, and Sabaton's Metal Machine. I normally try to not crank it too much.
