What is your favorite app on your phone?
NONE...That is why i uninstalled everything that could be uninstalled, disabled all the rest including the camera, browser, texting, etc., and left only the phone part of things working so i can make and receive calls...Its blissfully peaceful...DAMIEN

Ps...The added bonus to this is that i only need charge its battery once every two weeks...lol.

Aren't those websites? :?

Anyway, I like Rockwork. It's an app that allows me to interact with my Pebble smartwatch, and it runs on Ubuntu Touch.

The one that launches when I press the power button called OFF

Okay okay. Aqua Mail I suppose. I definitely use it the most, other than the Phone app. It's crazy I know. I use it to call people. :P

I have bi-lateral hearing loss caused by being way to close to things that went boom during my illustrious military career. So mine is my ReSound hearing aid app - it lets me adjust for all kinds of situations (outdoors, restaurants etc.) and even streams TV to my hearing aids. These very expensive (>$5,000) hearing aids were provided to me by the US Army for free at tax payers expense - so thank you US tax payers.

One of my favorites is GeoTag Photos Pro - none of my DSLRs have built-in GPS, and GeoTag Photos makes it easy-ish to add accurate GPS tags to my photos.

uh,

just one app?
not even close to conceivable.

in no particular order,
Evennote
the dialer
most important though is Nova Launcher, which gives me multiple pages, and Folders to keep similar apps in...

GPS Equalizer,
multiple GPS related tools

multiple WiFi tools

AquaMail for email
Textra for SMS

ASUS File Manager for sending files from the phone to my laptop's Shared folder. 8)

Firefox for the browser

and Google's many apps which I use multiple times a day.
( yeah, I don't give two hoots in hell if they track me, nothing here for them to use )

Park My Car ( gps app ), that damn car constantly moves itself in those huge metro parking lots and refuses to come to me when I whistle for it, at least my dog knows to come when I call.

GasBuddy, saves me a lot of moola every time I fill a gas tank

bank apps

if I had to pick just one app, it would be MacroDroid
a very powerful tool that can do anything you can conceive of, I use it to tell the Car Warranty robots to go where hell freezes.
plus a lot of other stuff, I have 13 macros set up.

ColorNote, Fuelio ( keep records of gas used, mntc etc. )

Tree identifier, plants, etc

Clinometer, measure road grade inclines.

more mundate stuff...

I have a lot of good apps on my phone. I have one that emulates my beloved HP41CX calculator, that's pretty important. Signal allows me to send and receive encrypted texts, make encrypted voice and video calls, and do encrypted file transfers. Others include (in no particular order):

Handy GPS
K-9 Mail
several RF (Radio Frequency) related calculators
W1ANT Pro Satellite Tracker
Sky Map
Net Analyzer
Office Document Viewer
Linux Command Reference
Calendar
DuckDuckGo Browser
Camera

The phone and address book are pretty important, too.

I love being able to carry this much information and processing power with me.

It's a phone but text is preferable to talk but if someone does ring up I do use it for talking on. Otherwise the torch might be handy if the stars aren't shining.

Jim,
I saw your comment on a Linux app, and that is a great idea.
Which one are you using?
I found these, and the last one, 'Redhat' is very good with explanations.... it is the only one I have installed, going to install of of them and see if I like them.

Looks like one is called Linux Command Library, and I've also got a terminal emulator which I guess is just called Terminal Emulator. I don't use either of them real often, but they sure come in handy now and then!

I will check out the apps you mentioned. Thanks!

Not an app, but a tool:

Touchscreen pens dirt cheap, in packs of ten; plus, the ink refills have good ink flow. It may be my problem, but at some age I was out with smearing around with my fingers.

the one I use the most, when traveling in the car, even near my home?

the Google Microphone, "Take me to Joe's BBQ near me"

what I appreciate about it, is the fact no buttons to push, ( after pressing microphone ) just lay the phone down, and it immediately goes to Google Maps, and into "Directions to where I want to go"

Don't know about y'all, but over here in Indian Territory, fiddling with a Cellphone while driving is an Offen$e and gets the wrong kind of attention
