Can you see a reason to hide real email address?

Yes there's a good case for using email aliases. Many websites get breached and customer or user information might get stolen. Information like email addresses. Next thing you know you're getting spam and phishing emails from spammers that bought the stolen data. They are getting smarter in recent years and the fake emails are more and more targeted on the individual whose data they have.

You can check on https://haveibeenpwned.com/ to see if your email address is known to have been stolen in website breaches.

Email aliases are a good way to combat this. Use an email alias for every web shop for example. If one gets breached, just create a new email alias for that website and delete the old so you don't get spam and phising emails. Several email providers offer this feature. I know that FastMail allows for 600+ aliases at the same time.
