Passing of LanceM
With a heavy heart I share I've learned that LanceM has passed last week. He loved Linux Mint, it was his passion. I think that stood out to any that had discussions with him. I've had that pleasure and got to know him a little bit over time. I'm told he introduced 15-20 people to the wonderful world of Linux.
My heartfelt condolences to his loved ones.
It's a rarity that we learn why when active members stop visiting the forums so it felt appropriate to share this sad news. Thanks for everything you did here LanceM, you'll be missed.

Lance had bravely fought a combination of Multiple Sclerosis and Diabetes for about 20 years. He is sorely missed by family, friends, and neighbors.cliffcoggin wrote: ⤴Tue Jun 29, 2021 5:32 pm Did he die of natural causes or something more sinister?

I wish we'd had more details, I would have liked to have sent a card/flowers. As a minimum to let his family know how he was appreciated by his friends here on the forum.Firefly252 wrote: ⤴Thu Jul 15, 2021 12:51 am Lance had bravely fought a combination of Multiple Sclerosis and Diabetes for about 20 years. Re: Passing of LanceM
Thank you. His written wish was for people to make a donation to Linux Mint. His father, who is 96, is the only surviving close relative.AndyMH wrote: ⤴Thu Jul 15, 2021 4:37 amI wish we'd had more details, I would have liked to have sent a card/flowers.
