Actually, there two known problems: PEBKAC (Problem Exists Between Keyboard and Chair) and PICNIC (Problem In Chair, Not In Computer).

There is also the IBM problem (Idiot Behind Machine)
Someday, maybe I'll figure out exactly what the hell I'm doing.

Well, the problem here is obvious. She is using too small a hammer.

When I got out of the army in 1986, and was living in Dallas with a buddy, on two separate occasions I heard him yelling; "Cheating, no good B*****, or Cheating POS" as he walked outside and slammed his Amiga against the railroad tie restraining wall completely destroying it. He would then go down and purchase another one. The object of his anger; Ultima II and III.

That's why you don't just throw computers at people expecting miracles to happen. WHatever you were doing wrong without the computer you'll almost always be still doing it wrong with the computer. Just faster and making your mistakes harder to find. This is one of the most important things IT professionals learn.

Had a co-worker who once threw a Logitech Cordless TrackMan FX at our boss. Unfortunately, he had lousy aim and missed. (His excuse/explanation was priceless: When this thing loses a signal sometimes I have to wave it around. It slipped. Sorry.)

Morale in our pod would have soared if he had used his laptop (IIRC a Thinkpad 760) instead of the TrackMan. Kiss the boss upside the cranium with that beast would have been considered a miracle by most in our pod.

This same boss once tried to plug a USB mouse into a wall socked. I might still be working for that company if USB-C had been a thing back then....

My wife and father, both think that Windows XP was the very best version of Windows ever. Although the Spouse unit will concede that Windows 7 was pretty good.
