I suggest "lenovo" to, if your username is say "phil", be on that system known as phil@lenovo, Phil at Lenovo, as opposed/compared to e.g. phil@hp, phil@tablet, ...

Whatever you like  .

NB: It may be better for the name to consist only of letters, numbers, hyphens - and underscores _ (avoid spaces, slashes (/ or \), brackets and other special characters).

I keep the pc name short, just my initials and one number. Like ABC1 for example. I keep the username and password short too. It saves time in the long run.

I named my laptop simply Laptop1 (I know, really creative). The laptop I recently bought I'm going to name Laptop2. When I finish building my desktop computer, it will be Desktop1.

I just used my first name for my user name. I used a long password for security.

Choose whatever is convenient for you. If you have unpredictable host names it isn't much of a security measure.

Yes.
The host name (name you give for your computer) is just broadcasted over wireless (and MAY reach the internet).
It has NO security value. It just helps identify your system from others.

NO. The password DOES add security, and dangerously shortening it is very bad.
It SHOULD be chosen as securely as possible, and must be easy to remember while NOT easy to guess by an adversary.
Your password should be random-looking, non-guessable (and unknown to anyone else), long (say, >15 characters is OK as of now ie. 2021) and easily remembered.

usually the topic of my casual conversations aren't about server name, an employee is trained and made aware of the server name and the servers are usually labeled.

I have serveral different computers, for testing/experimenting, media stuff etc. So I try to give them names to make it harder for me to get them confused, lol!
Location, OS, function and pc models are used. Not all at the same time though, like others here, trying to keep names fairly short, but still distinctive. Writing this from @yoga2

At work we're using a scheme with company prefix, function, number of server of that type. Easier to administer that the "Ducktown" domain we inherited, where der were no correlation between name and server function

From the RFC:
As soon as you deal with more than one computer, you need to distinguish between them. For example, to tell your system administrator that your computer is busted, you might say, "Hey Ken. Goon is down!"
