Help me find under-$5 wired earbuds

Can my fellow Minters help me shop?

I've bought $2 earphones from Aliexpress but they're horrible. They sound tinny. Like getting your audio through a tin can.

I am not an audiophile. As long as I can hear the voices in audiobooks or podcasts, I'm happy. I don't care about deep base or whatever.

I'd like to buy one or two or three pairs of earphones:

> Must be wired
> Strongly prefer a mic and pause-play button
> Prefer a right-angle connector
> Low price (under $5) .
> earbuds (in-ear earphones)

You're asking a lot for $5. The last cheapo wired earbuds that I purchased was from Woolworths. Barely listenable.

Pushing that $5 limit slightly, Betron/Fencat seem to be reasonable quality, although I know a lot of reviews can be faked so take them with a pinch of salt.

Fencat seems to be what they are in the US, they are sold as Betron in the UK. Again, this goes back to Android or Apple because these are for Android.

I searched for "fencat" in amazon.com but no hits.

You can buy from the UK amazon, they will ship it globally via their own planes and trucks. I buy from Amazon US sometimes (obviously not free shipping). Strange that neither Betron or Fencat come up on the US site though.

I bet the shipping fee from UK will kill the deal. I don't mind buying from Amazon USA because if I have prime or if I add in several dollars worth more of stuff, they will ship it for free

Walmart has earbud with mic for about US$6. That will be hard to beat. maybe ask friends for old stuff they no longer want.
