But mostly upon the borrower
Because when the rain falls upon the lender
The lender takes the borrower's umbrella

Put your hand on a hot stove for a minute, and it seems like an hour. Sit with a pretty girl for an hour, and it seems like a minute. That's relativity.

For anyone who wants it... and I begin to wonder who would... for a quick project I set up a Twitter account that spits out a fortune cookie from the fortunes file every hour. @usrgamesfortune. Occasionally it comes up with a great (wo)man's quote, but it's rare because of the character limit. Today it came out with a couple of Bill Shakespeares and Mark Twains, for example. I might do an identi.ca too, if I get round to it (probably less than likely).

Contrary to popular belief it is NOT a Bible verse.

The best anyone can figure these famous words were uttered by a court appointed physician to a jewel thief who had swallowed a 3 carat diamond right before the police nabbed him...

And that is my Clavinism for the day...

men don't listen... just talk (ask my wife) therefore more "Quotes" from 'great men'
men just don't listen... so no "quotes from great women"

From "The Black Riders and Other Lines" by Stephen Crane:

In the desert
I saw a creature, naked, bestial,
who, squatting upon the ground,
Held his heart in his hands,
And ate of it.
I said, "Is it good, friend?"
"It is bitter -- bitter," he answered;
"But I like it
Because it is bitter,
And because it is my heart."
