Himangshu,
It is nice to hear from you but I think you will have better results if you open a new thread with your question instead of posting it here. More people will see and read a separate thread than will see a post here.

I did spend 4 1/2 years on Marine installations; El Toro and Camp Pendleton. Plus a few visits to Lejuene and Cherry Point when stationed at Ft Bragg. I just wanted to say that my husband goes to the VA for his healthcare, and he's had no problems with anyone trying to get him out of the system.

That would be a negative for us coner-types. In sub-speak, a coner is any non-engineering type. I can not speak for the non-coners, however. Welcome to this small but growing group within the Mint community.

Hope you are feeling better. Allergy season is in full swing here in the Mid-Atlantic and I am feeling a bit under the weather myself. Thanks for the welcome as well.
Edited to add thanks.

I like the "there's an H&R Block across the street...". Sure that made them real happy.

"Contrariwise", continued Tweedledee, "if it was so, it might be; and if it were so, it would be; but as it isn't, it ain't. That's logic."

Welcome to biker and anyone else I missed . I've been rather busy with my new duties recently and haven't been able to give this topic the attention it deserves. Glad to see it's not dying off.

I spent several years in the Army before switching to the Marines. Retiring after 22 years, total, active duty.

Either one works. This is a non-denominational, non-judgmental topic. Every vet is equally welcome and appreciated. (Even the [shudder] Coast Guard
).

USAF here 72-85.. Had it easy! Did do 2 remote tours in Turkey and my favorite was 2 years in England near Oxford, loved it! Could not take another Turkey mountaintop remote and got out. Did manage 40% through the V.A. I truly have nothing but good to say about them!! Better than talking to a doc only worried about his next patient and malpractice insurance payment. Hi to all vets in the world doing their countrys dirty work...

Still Kicking!

Retired Navy here, and Linux Mint user since January. My first computer was Timex-Sinclair 1000. Then VIC-20. Finally moved way up to Atari 800xl with a whole 64k of RAM. First used MS in the DOS days, so command line is nothing new. It's what made computers fun.

(In the US on 5/31/2010 it is Memorial Day)
For the peoples of ALL Countries:
Take a moment to reflect on contributions of the military service, men and women, in the Armed Forces.
For those who are currently serving: Keep the faith and we're keeping the home fires burning.
For those who have served: Thank you, for what you have done for your country.
For those who have made the ultimate sacrifice: Words are insufficient, but you will never be forgotten.
Let us take a moment of 'Silence'
I am a retired Veteran, having served, in both the US Army and the US Marine Corps

I served 8 years in the US Air Force. I separated in 2006 as a SSgt. My career field (AFSC) was 3C0X1 Communications-Computer Systems Operator. Glad to see a lot of former military here.
