DRINKS

Deadguy's donation of tasty drinks
An ample supply, I say, methinks
So come and get yourself good and plastered
To get your worries or your backache mastered

There's nothing like the proper mix
To get a lift, to get a fix
Forget your troubles and your stress
Who cares about the bankers' mess

Who knows and who can really tell
How much they need to enter Hell
They'll churn and turn to creaky bones
For all the credit, for all the loans

well npap, I would love to except for the fact that I know nothing
about being an agent or the publishing industry whatsoever :o

so I'll just have to stick with just being a fan of your poems I guess :)

Re: THE MINT CAFE GANG/ A REVIEW

Post by npap »

For the new visitors to the Mint Café.
A brief description and the history of it.

The Mint Café is a virtual meeting place where everybody visits for a virtual Mint cocktail to have a talk with his virtual friends. :)
We have a very comfortable MintLounge, a fully equipped bar (with a very good variety of beverages on the MintMenu), and finally the CasaBianca Room.
Pretty Bianca is our hostess, and she is always pleasant and eager to serve our guests.
Bianca.jpg
Because of some malicious persons who accused Mint of addiction (Quote: "Don't get hooked on Mint".....), we decided to consult the AA people on the matter.
They were obliging and kind enough to establish a Mint Addiction Department in our premises.
Most members passed the test and were found to be incurably addicted, but new non-addicted guests are required to have a Certificate of Addiction by the AA, as well as proof of age, signed by their parents.
Note: Entrance to the club is limited to people under 70 years old. :(

For general security issues, we have acquired Hydra.
Hydra.jpg
She is the guard dog of the Café, and she takes care of undesirable situations.
HYDRA is BTW the freak that resulted by Bio-psychological warfare experiments during the Cold War, in the former Soviet Union.
She is capable of acting in a subconscious  manner, to cause Hydrophobia ( an incurable affliction ) to an intruder.

The Mint Café has nothing to do with other FORUMS.
It is something that just happened when various members in the Mint Forum started posting subjects on the light side of life.
IT IS WRITTEN AND SUPPORTED BY MEMBERS AND IT, IN NO WAY, REFLECTS ON THE PHILOSOPHY OF THE MINT DEVELOPERS

THE MINT GIRLS

Ada would be his only love
She was as pretty as a cooing dove
He was so wrong me Minty friend
His lovin' spree would have no end

And here he is the jolly good fellow
He likes his girls so fresh and mellow
Ada was soon a craze to pass
To be replaced by another lass

To make the story short me friends
Here's how methinks it really ends
After the fifth romantic passion
He still is showing no compassion

How could he be so endlessly romantic
I would be turning mad and frantic

Knock,knock! Anybody here? :)

Looks like the financial crisis has hit the Mint Café too. Though we're open for business every night, few people have been visiting. :(
But fellows, we offer free drinks here. :) We don't believe in 'profit'.
We have a generous supply of top-rated fresh booze and we're afraid that it's going bad. And for those of you who have budget problems, Elyssa is here to lighten your burden :D
Felicia is going to visit us soon. There's no telling what may happen when the two wenches meet.

Well, we hope that you all are doing well. :)
Stop for a free drink at any time.
Cheers,
THE MANAGEMENT

So nice to see two good friends visiting. :D
It seems that with so much activity in the Mint forums people don't have the time for trivial things such as BS at the Cafe. :(
But fellows, "All work and no play makes life dull and gray", quoting Blogger, an old lost friend. :)

Here's to your health!
Gulp!

Thank you! With you as host I'll always feel welcome in here...
Still Minty but busier than before...
I'll drink to your health too (we don't want the stock to go bad, wouldn't we?) I don't know what weather you have but with the freezing wind we have today health wishes are always welcome!
Cheers again!

HOLIDAY GREETINGS

Post by npap »

A MERRY CHRISTMAS, TO CHRISTIANS.
AND HAPPY HOLIDAYS TO EVERYONE ELSE.
PEACE TO THE WORLD.

Image

Let us all save the earth and all living creatures on it which The Creator left us as our heritage.
We owe that much to the future generations

As Christmas and the holidays are approaching, a few thoughts have been going through my mind.

Two thousand years ago the Savior was born. He came here to save man from his sins : Hatred , bigotry, greed, immorality and all the evils that haunt his soul.
Did He succeed? There is more greed, more hatred and bigotry and more madness today.

Ten thousand years before, a fellow called Noah built an ark to save the human species and all other living creatures on earth.
He succeeded in some way. so today we are here to continue repeating mankind's grave mistakes.

I wonder. Who is going to come to the rescue of our insane world this time?
Man is standing by watching in anticipation of his doom. He feels useless. Is mankind committing suicide?
He sees the earth being abused by everybody and himself as well. Each one expects others to do something about it.

LET US ALL THINK! LET US DO SOMETHING! LET US PRAY!
BUILD A VIRTUAL ARK TO SAVE HUMAN DIGNITY!

EPILOQUE

A worldwide crisis is already here; a deterioration of values, abuse of the earth and a major economic crisis.
Changes in climate around the globe is one of the major causes of diminished food production. The other serious cause, I believe, is the fact that governments are more concerned about filling fuel tanks than empty stomachs.

WELCOME FELICIA

Post by npap »

AN ODE TO FELICIA

Pretty Felicia is already here
To greet us for the coming year
May there be joy and peace on earth
Let's celebrate with cheerful mirth

Another marvel, a real success
A work of art, a wondrous bless
Green for the Irish, blue for the French
A lovely lady and a pretty wench

Loaded with goodies and lots of candy
Nothing could be more fine and dandy
An "out-of-the-box-experience" I guess
Another evil, another headache for MS
