Thanks, nice to be here. I have been using various mint distros since mint4. Would use one, go away, come back, go away,...you get the drift. After mint 6, I have stayed with mint. It is a great distro and can't wait for the final version of Mint 7.

I am not experinced enough to be able to help in a technical manner but I have begun to make small financial donations to the cause. This last version on Mint has recieved nothing short of rave reviews from ALL who have taken the time to try it out. Would be a shame to lose this great distro, thus the donations. Hope others see fit to do the same.

LONG SILENCE

Post by npap »

Hello my friends,
it's been too quiet in the Mint Café lately. :( Lonely, too.

With nobody around, and having consumed almost all the booze in the MintBar by myself (tried everything in the MintMenu), there is little spirit left to keep going. :?
Besides, the good doctor says: "no more alcohol for you young man".

What the Café needs is a spiritual revival.
Come on you young people! Visit the MintLounge for a chat and a cool virtual drink. Keep your spirits up!

Best regards,
npap

Npap, glad to see you back at the Mint Cafe!
Perhaps a few herbs will help get you (and the other cafe members) going again.

Dr. Hugo Z. Hackenbush, my personal physician. recommends that everyone take this:

Hey, guys. :waves:

I'm kinda new here and to Linux, in general.

I have only been using an OS other than Windows for about 2 months now.
Having tryed Ubuntu, first ... now, I've working with LinuxMint-7.

Gloria rocks!!

I try to come into the Forums daily, mostly to see what I can learn from others.

How can I order a drink around here (belly up to the bar)

I'd like a Helena-8, please ... it's one of those Minty drinks.

Just ask npap, he can mix up anything - served with a dose of excellent philosophy (or a some nice poetry)!

Ah! There's our dear old friend Ken. :D

@ vrkalak
Ken has been the official bartender here since the beginning. His humor is like a spark that starts the fire. :)
We also were fortunate enough to have Bianca, Celena and Daryna as hostesses at times.
Let's hope that another Mint girl will host the café soon.
As for your drink, one Helena-8 coming up, but it is still being brewed :)
For now , let us drink something cool.

2 weeks for me. I didn't bother cracking my Windows 7 RC's activation anymore - Mint 7 is much more useful!

As for me, I'll have my cheerful B&G Sauvignon Blanc from Gascony with a serving of chicken wrapped in mint and pandan leaves!

Thanks . . . I could go for a Mojito, about now.

And, that chicken wrapped in mint leaves, sounds tasty.

*picks out a table in the corner*

The Mojito has Mint leaves, too.
I wonder if they make a Mint Margarita ?
