On one computer with samsung ln32c350d1dxza monitor and linuxmint 20.3 xfce 64 bit I tried 16:9 aspect ratio resolutions: 1024×576, 1152×648, 1280×720, 1366×768, 1600×900, 1920×1080, using xrandr and cvt because my preferred resolution was not available. Most of them are blurry and does not fill fully the frames of the screen except one which is sharp and not blurry:
cvt 1366 768
# 1368x768 59.88 Hz (CVT) hsync: 47.79 kHz; pclk: 85.25 MHz
Modeline "1368x768_60.00" 85.25 1368 1440 1576 1784 768 771 781 798 -hsync +vsync
xrandr --listactivemonitors
Monitors: 1
0: +*VGA-1 1360/360x768/203+0+0 VGA-1
xrandr --newmode "1368x768_60.00" 85.25 1368 1440 1576 1784 768 771 781 798 -hsync +vsync
xrandr --addmode VGA-1 "1368x768_60.00"
This one is moved 9 mm in the left direction out of frames. The monitor menu does not permit to move the screen 9 mm into right direction. Has linuxmint 20.3 xfce drivers for that or do you have another proposals or solutions?

I mean that at the "1368x768_60.00" mode window is moved 9 mm into the left direction out of screen border. On the right side of the monitor there is an unused 9 mm wide black belt.

Re: samsung ln32c350d1dxza monitor
There are options in xrandr to shift the screen. I believe you would use the transform function, but check the documentation.
Here is a link where someone was trying to work around the fact part of their screen was smashed Shift screen with xrandr. Maybe it will give you some ideas.
