GeForce GT 740M

Post by LinuxN00bTM »

For the past 3 days I have been trying to get the Nvidia graphics card to work with mint but to no avail. Im running mint on an Asus vivobook that comes with hybrid graphics, I tried to follow a lot of tutorials and threads here but still can't get it to work. With the integrated graphics everything looks huge and the simplest effects in compiz are not working, not sure if it's working at all.
I just made another fresh install of mint and I hope someone can guide me to the best way to install these drivers and get the card to work.

I'm on Linux mint 15 cinnamon, I ran the installation of bumblebee from that page but it also didn't work.
