Hi,

I'm trying to install the Intel Linux Graphics Drivers but it's giving me the following error messages.

I'm using Linux Mint 17.1 64-bit. Your help would be really appreciated!!

Thanks,

Hi Nomko,

Thanks for your message. I actually followed this guide. I think it's really good but it doesn't help me with this error.

Thanks.

I though it was a driver issue, but looking closer to your screenshots it is a version conflict between some files.

I know just 1 solution for updating those files and that is adding the xorg-edgers PPA and then update your system:
  • open a temrinal
  • type the following command:

    Code: Select all

    sudo add-apt-repository ppa:xorg-edgers/ppa
  • follow the instructions given in the terminal
  • do not close the temrinal
  • After adding the ppa run the following terminal commands:

    Code: Select all

    sudo apt-get update && sudo apt-get upgrade
  • follow my leads on how-to install the Linux Graphic driver if the previous installation is undone by the PPA

Hi Nomko,

That worked perfectly! Curiously, the system overview still shows the same details for the graphics drivers?

Thanks!
