some months ago I had problems with Software Manager
[ viewtopic.php?f=208&t=228311&p=1271395#p1271395]
which was solved by changing to the nouveau driver.
This week I started playing(!) with Android Studio and hit a problem that might be related to the graphics driver.
So I decided to restore the nvidia driver and see if it helps.
I went though the motions of changing the driver using (Driver Manager) (see attached png)
and rebooted. Eventually I realised that the nouveau driver was not being replaced - whatever I did in Driver Manager.
I looked at other posts including
"Cant change nVidia Drivers" viewtopic.php?f=59&t=241793
which seemed to be similar
I deleted and replaced nvidia driver (from grphics driver PPA) -
[ https://sites.google.com/site/easylinux ... rivers-PPA ]
but no change
Attached are output from inxi, lsmod, lshw(term_text.odt) and list of nvidia files
Anyone any ideas ?
thanks
