Mint Mate 18.2/18.3; Login on external monitor

Post by OutOfMemory »

Hi,
My old HP notebook has docking station and external monitor on it. I'm using notebook with display lid closed.
Everything is working fine except that during login into my account login screen is located on notebook's build-in screen and not external one.
Moving the mouse recalls correct screen aka. shows login screen at the external one.

Previously I have used Ubuntu Mate and the problem was easily solved with adding active-monitor=x (0 or 1 - depense on the configuration) in /etc/lightdm/lightdm-gtk-greeter.conf.d/99_ubuntu-mate.conf:

Adding such configuration on /etc/lightdm/lightdm-gtk-greeter.conf.d/99_linuxmint.conf do not change anything.

What are the correct settings to display login screen on external display on Linux MInt - MATE?

Thank you for replay

D.
