Oversized desktop

Post by robertgrant1203 » Sun Dec 31, 2017 4:46 pm

HI, I have two monitors running and one is a large plasma tv. The desktop on it is slightly over-sided. IE a small amount on each side is hidden, and things on the border of a program are hidden, such as back buttons, resize/close buttons. It gets annoying at times.. Is there a way to slightly reduce the size of the display?

Your TV is overscanning. Rather than do anything computer-sides, you should first and foremost try and disable overscan on the TV (for the particular input the computer is connected to; normally its per-input, with for example a VGA input set to not overscan by default). Your TV manual and/or this may be helpful: https://www.cnet.com/news/overscan-your ... n-your-tv/
