Mirror Screen not working properly

Post by mumof3kiwis »

I am new to Linux Mint and new to the forum, so please forgive my simple questions!

I am attempting to connect an adapter to my computer for Linux Mint VGA output to HDMI TV input. In this process, I chose some screen setting which has made the Linux Mint computer screen think it is double the size that it actually is. One half of the display is impossible for me to see, although I managed to capture the entire display with a screen shot. Screen shot attached. I can only the see left half. The right half is completely hidden. (The right side output to TV is not displaying on the TVl, either).

As the bottom panel is not visible, I am unable to figure out how to change the display settings again back to the proper size. How do I correct this display?

(Please be specific as I have little experience with Linux coding).
