Hi,
I have gone through a number of threads and most of the answers pertain to Cinnamon.
Is there anyway get to 4K scaling working with MATE? I did go into appearance and change the font dpi from 96 to 144 and fonts are ok now. But most of the apps are all still tiny - steam for example is just terrible.
I also tried export GDK_SCALE 2 in my .profile but that ended up messing the DE completely (the Menu / task bar) itself was not visible.
Is it worth persisting with MATE or should I consider moving to 18.3 Cinnamon? Please let me know.
Thanks,
Ananth
