Cinnamon goes into fall back mode after the update of screen-resolution-extra to 0.17.1.1~16.04.1. Also had the virtualbox issues but that resolved with the removal of those files. Now have to run in fall back mode. How do it revert screen-resolution-extra to the previous version?
Tried to remove with package manager but it also took out NVIDA X server and reinstalling it put back the current version of screen-resolution-extra.

Fixed by replacing video from mother board with a plug in card.
