Intel Video Hardware Acceleration on Intel NUC7i7BNH

Hi EveryBody,
Referencing this thread because I also own an NUC7i7 as well, i'm running LM 18.2 last kernel upgrade but I can't activate the hardware video acceleration (modsetting), so i can't play 4K video file with a decent cpu usage.

Hi folks,

Few more information about my subject, based on this thread viewtopic.php?t=250485 I remove xserver-xorg-video-intel because it add some old intel driver.
Based on the following command I'm pretty sure that I use the driver from the lastest Kernel (i915) :

Update Manager - panel: View - Linux kernels

Install the latest kernel of the 4.15 series. Then reboot.

Execute this command:

Does the last line (or the last line but one) of the output it produces, look approximately similar to the line below? Then you're probably OK after all:

Hi,
The Xorg.log look strange, It like it try to load modesetting twice.
I don't think it's working properly right know, vainfo still report error.
Do you know where is the config file for Xorg ?

I really think now that the problem comes from X11, i will try to force th configuration of Xorg by creating xorg.conf.
This file doesn't exist any more in recent version because the autoconfig will work properly most of the time, but in certain case, the autoconfig is not working (mutiple screen or graphics cards for instance)
Is someone have experiences to write an xorg.conf for Intel Graphics Card ?
