My PC Low Resolution Problem... FAILED: nvidia

I installed Linux Mint 18.3 Cinnamon 64-bit, but GPU Driver problem for low resolution mode. my monitor is 23 inch. max res 1920x1080.

sudo apt-get remove --purge nvidia-*

should remove your nvidia then reboot and try a different driver (why do so many users have issues with sound and graphics? is it cinnamon or the new hardware?)
